Guidance beside the controls
Clear on-screen explanations help you understand what you see, what to do and what happens next. Built-in help is there when you need more detail.
NOHIDE / THE TOOL
A straightforward wireless search tool for authorised teams. Discover observable Wi-Fi devices, select a signal of interest and follow changes in its strength as you search.
Signal detected
BEFORE ENTRY. DURING THE SEARCH.
Where lawful and operationally safe, a scan just before entry may identify observable signals of interest. Use those observations alongside the search inside, while the team and opportunity are still there.
A signal that persists when a device has not been found can give officers a reason to examine an area more closely. Record the observation, consider other evidence and focus the physical search.
Signal strength does not establish which side of a wall a device is on. Decisions to open barriers or use force still need an applicable legal power and a necessary, proportionate response.
A SIMPLE WORKFLOW
Choose a stage to see how a signal
can guide a physical search.
NoHide listens for observable Wi-Fi transmissions and presents access points and device addresses. An access point is the wireless connection a router or other network device provides.
What wireless signals can we observe here?
Discovery gives you a picture of the signals being heard at that time.
DESIGNED FOR ORDINARY TEAMS
The aim is simple: give the officer carrying out the search a practical tool they can understand and use.

Your browser connects to the unit. Normal scan and hunt operation runs locally, without relying on an internet connection or a cloud service.
Explore the wireless environment around a premises or check for an address already of interest to the investigation.
Twelve months’ support is included. Support renewal is optional; the device keeps working after the support period ends.
USEFUL TO KNOW
NoHide is designed for officers without specialist wireless training, with on-screen guidance through the search. A demonstration lets your team assess the workflow on the actual configuration before discussing a purchase.
The core search follows observable Wi-Fi transmissions from access points and devices. These can provide a route to equipment such as phones, computers and Wi-Fi cameras. A device must be transmitting a supported signal to be heard; NoHide is not a detector of every phone using a mobile network.
The core scan and hunt radio listens for observable Wi-Fi transmissions; it does not need a target device to join a network. Passive describes that listening function. NoHide’s control Wi-Fi transmits, and separate connected-network discovery functions can involve active traffic. Ask us to demonstrate the mode relevant to your use.
There is no blanket authority-free claim. The lawful basis and any required authorisation depend on the activity, purpose, information obtained, location and jurisdiction. Follow your organisation’s operational and legal guidance; entry and search powers remain separate. See the Home Office surveillance code ↗.
NoHide’s core workflow follows observable Wi-Fi signals. It is not an IMSI catcher or a mobile-network interception service. Keep a straightforward Wi-Fi search available to the team, and assess any more intrusive technique separately for capability, cost, proportionality and the relevant legal requirements.
Use the changing signal strength to compare positions and focus your search. Walls, reflections and antenna position affect the reading, so it guides movement rather than measuring a precise distance.
The core search works locally. Your browser connects to NoHide’s Wi-Fi. Some phones need you to confirm that you want to remain connected to a network without internet access; we can show the process during a demonstration.
Yes. Ask for a demonstration and tell us about your intended use. Demonstrations use the current working prototype. We confirm the supplied configuration, suitability and delivery arrangements with your quote.
Bluetooth workflows are part of the prototype development. Ask us to demonstrate the capabilities relevant to your intended use on the actual hardware and software configuration.
AVAILABLE TO VERIFIED ORGANISATIONS
Tell us about your organisation and the searches your teams carry out. We can discuss a demonstration, availability and the right number of units.
